[76 doesn’t really hold much hope when it comes to getting home. With time travel in the mix, he imagines it’s entirely possible to spend years as part of COST while only weeks pass in the aether. He sort of wonders what that’s doing to him, physically, but then decides he’d rather not think about it. Imagining an endless conscription is intimidating enough, even for someone built to do this kind of thing. The worst part is that he’d stay here indefinitely if it meant some of these kids got to go home, but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards, either.
