Mamoru's reaction is only stroking Henry's ego, as if it needed anymore. He has a lot of pride in his weapon, but he does his very damned best to reign back the over-enthusiasm. Just a healthy does of it.

"I don't know the specifics of the battery, but it's cutting-edge tech. Literally, in this case. It's an extremely powerful and rechargeable battery. There are different options for batteries, like a solar-powered one... but, I don't know. I'm not always out in the sun and leaving a weapon unattended just to charge during the day didn't sit right with me."

He shrugs, then gives it a little twirl. Then deactivates it, letting Mamoru get a better 'look' at the handle.

"It does need a tune-up every six months or so anyway, so might as well get a recharge thrown in there too. Oh, also, don't know if you can tell, but the guard here splits the laser into five different ports but the actual damage output is directed towards the blade itself. The guard is weak, decorative, but I imagine if the creator of the weapon wanted to, he could weaponize the rest too."
