The inflections in her tone shift, words drawn out into more of a drawl, something rich and controlled and consistent as the motion of her hands, untrained fingers given way to a little more flash, a little more subtle charm. It lacks the depth and wickedness of obsessive, paranoid Shuos tricks -- both because Cheris's frustrations leak through from time to time ( the flex of fingers, to curl into a fist; the huff of breath through her nose -- ) and because the both of them concede the point: Sebastian doesn't seem the type to be fooled by them. ]
