The first thing that sticks out to him is that heavy, metallic scent, since his eyes are able to quickly adjust to the darkness. It sends quite the message, but it isn't as if that message is unexpected. If anything, he has to continue to almost admire the Araneans for how unsubtle they were with certain things while others were such a delicate dance. However, it helped very much that this was all in line with his personal aesthetic. He had mentioned it off-handedly to a recruit or two before, but the Araneans would be perfectly at home in the company of demons. And vice versa, naturally, since as she gives her welcome and light floods the darkened room, he straightens with an easy smile.
He doesn't seem offput by any of this, from the lavish setup to her appearance being displayed so openly rather than hidden for the convenience of guests that may not take it well. But little of it is different than interacting with his brethren. Lavish affairs were commonplace, and considering his own appearance at the moment is little more than a mask for something else, he almost feels more at ease to be seeing an Aranean as they're meant to be. Though as one thing that's the Araneans certainly have over demons, it's their better manners. To say that most demons don't share his enjoyment of rules and elegance would be an understatement...
"It would be an honor, Your Majesty."
Sebastian walks closer, and he gives slightly more than a passing glance to the setup on the table. Technically, none of it has any appeal for him, but he certainly enjoys the raw beauty of it. A spread of meats, gems, and sweets seems perfectly fitting from what he knows. However, the attention doesn't linger long. He's well aware that he's in the company of someone dangerous even to him, so his attention returns to the Queen once he expresses his appreciation. Still ever following her lead as is polite, he'll make no more to sit at the table until she does.
"I must also express my thanks for the invitation. It is quite gracious, and I am pleased to speak with you," he says, and he dips his head lightly with a twinge more of a smile, "I thought it may be rude to be so presumptuous at the banquet."
