All that I know is what I've learned from troubled times.
WHO? Siegfried and Rey
WHAT? Siegfried loses another Master and gains a new one thanks to Rey
WHEN? Just after his fight and victory over Pahket in the arena
ANYTHING ELSE? Other than possibly discussing violence, nope!

Standing here now, it's hard to get past that one defining moment he noticed that Noctis had disappeared. A part of him wonders if the Rheingold truly means to upend him at every turn, and defy his one desire to fight for justice- or even in this case, simply survive. Gallipoli had proved to him that without a Master, he could not continue to help others on his own, as much as he wanted to. A source of mana would ensure him being able to live to assist where he could, rather than struggle to even fight back if the opportunity arose. Regretfully, his mind wanders to his first contract with Lup, recalling him speaking with her over what the contract meant, and her agreement. When Lup had disappeared, he'd gone to Noctis, hoping that things would work out for the better. He'd trusted in the contract to stay and for the two of them to end up working together as much as they could.
And yet here he is, supporting himself against one of the walls just outside the arena, avoiding most Araneans enough to keep to himself. His wounds, at least, have stopped bleeding, but it's very clear that they shouldn't be open as they are; almost as if they're trying to heal, but cannot. Were Noctis here, this wouldn't be a problem, as his Armor of Fafnir would simply heal him with time. But without a mana source, Siegfried can't heal himself without risking the potential of fading from existence, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
He pushes himself off the wall finally, but it doesn't last long- his feet refuse to move more than a few steps before he practically slams back towards the wall once more. The irritation he faced in Gallipoli bubbles to the surface of his mind, and he exhales angrily. He needs to find a new Master, but he can't do that when he can't really move. Given time, he'll recover and be fine; and while he could go into spirit form, he'd rather not paint even more of a target on his back.
So there he stays, quiet and watching, and glaring at any Aranean who tries to possibly annoy him. His victory at least promises some space for now, but he's not truly sure how long that will last- and without a Master, that makes all of this a lot worse.]

It takes a moment, as she's not a face he recognizes, but knows that she's from COST also. Siegfried exhales, shaking his head.]
I can't, no. [He pauses, eyes looking around them before speaking quietly, continuing.] Normally, I'd be able to, but without a Master it becomes more difficult.
[There's no use beating around the bush here. His life is on the line- even if he has enough mana for now, he's still in danger of being preyed upon by spiders. And without another source he's as good as dead anyway.]

She doesn't want to get into a conversation about owning people because there's a part of her that's been wondering, lately, if it counts as being sold to someone if you were given away to them for drinking money.
Instead of dwelling, she looks him up and down and frowns.]
I could probably carry you on my back, but it wouldn't look very dignified and you can't afford to attract attention like this. Someone will want to eat you.
[Once that would have been a joke, but now? Now it's very true and they both know it. There is the Force, though, as much as she's actually been trying to hold back on using it, so she sighs a little irritably and slings her staff down from her shoulder to hand out to him.]
I can cloak us if someone sees us, but I need both hands. [For the hand motions that seem to help when it comes to using the Force, but also if she's gonna give him a piggy back ride she probably will need to hold onto his legs...]

That, of course, is short-lived. Rey offers to carry him, and Siegfried blinks, thinking he misheard her. He stares at the staff handed to him like he's never seen something like it before in his entire life, then looks back at her.]
You can't be serious.
[HE WEIGHS MORE THAN HER, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING.]

[She's getting frustrated now, the way she usually does when she offers help or goes out of her way to do something kind only to have it thrown back in her face, so now she sets the end of the staff on the ground and puts her other hand on her hip, looking at him crossly.
She's annoyed, and losing patience, so after a moment she just lets out a sigh and decides- fuck it.]
It's fine, I can-
[Rather than explain she lifts her hand and sweeps it to the side, levitating and knocking over things at random in the area around them. She manages to make a mess quietly, at least, and no one sees, but at least now he can tell why she's sure she can get him somewhere safe.]
