[ It does leave a bad taste in his mouth--regency, normal regency, is something that Meliorn holds close. Perhaps it's his caste system, or the Seelie Queen herself, but to go against something named after Kings and Queens ruling makes his skin crawl.
What had he told Kaelie when the two of them fought? It wasn't a matter of sides, it was a matter of what's right. This is Meliorn's justification: not that he's been given orders (although he's very good at following, it's in his blood) but that after everything that's happened, it's time to actually do something about it. He's done keeping his head down to gauge sides. ]
Siegfried. [ He greets the other once they meet at the designated rendezvous point, Meliorn purposely dressed in his finery, hair and makeup immaculate. That's not to say he isn't heavy armed, of course, just smart enough to hide it. ] I'm glad my partner is you, I've heard about your prowess.
[ A small beat, and Meliorn can't help the smirk. ] Shall we go over the plan one last time before beginning?

Meeting at the rendezvous point is almost immediate, Siegfried keeping an eye out for his partner. He huffs, giving Meliorn a bit of a curious look.] I'm hoping you've heard about Gallipoli, and not Paris.
[It's a joke, and his tone says as much. Somehow he's gotten a sense of humor from this damn hellhole, it's a miracle. The Servant tilts his head, brow furrowing.]
Our target is the estate of House Shaiy. From what we can tell, it's the main house behind the Regency. We're to infiltrate and destroy as much of the property as possible- the more damage we cause, the greater their reputation suffers. [He blinks, pausing as he considers their options.] I'd suggest something other than trying to destroy the foundations- if I had my sword with me, that wouldn't be an issue. We're going to have to improvise otherwise.

Perhaps we don't need to level the building--but destroy it from the inside out. Fire?
[ Hold on, did he just insinuate that his sword could destroy entire foundations? Meliorn squints, despite himself. ]

[The king killed a month early, his wife escaped with her two children and gone missing for everyone to wonder where she ran to. Siegfried doesn't bother to clarify- now isn't the time to do so anyway. Meliorn is suggesting an alternative that still leaves a lot of damage, and Siegfried likes the sound of that.]
Fire works just as well, but we'll have to guard the flame as it spreads. The Regency will do what it can to try and put it out quickly so no harm comes to the estate. [A beat.] I'm sure we can find something along the way to get it started, as well. How comfortable are you in fighting in dangerous environments?
[He catches Meliorn's squint, and shrugs.] Balmung is a unique holy sword. [He doesn't say more, but implies that it's special anyway. Considering it can level entire armies, foundations of an estate wouldn't be that difficult either.]

Quite used to it. I am a Knight where I come from, I live to protect my Queen.
[ And as they walk another thought occurs to him. ] You seem quite content in your martial prowess--what if we were able to escort our little friend from the House as it crumbles?

I'm glad. The last thing I'd want is to put any of COST's members through something they're not familiar with.
[He's sure, in time, he'll have to do so, but any chance he can avoid doing so, he'll take. Siegfried walks along with Meliorn and gives a pause as the question is offered, thinking.] I agree, but we'll have to be quick and make sure the contact is well out of reach of the House by the time that happens. The Regency may try to go after them in retaliation if we make it obvious.

Should that happen, one of us might need to escort her.

While I'd usually say I can handle it, I'm a bit of an obvious target. [He makes an open gesture of himself- the sigil, his height, his hair- all of it is clearly abnormal and would catch someone's eye rather quickly.] Do you think you could manage instead? I can guard the flame easily- even if they know our plan, I won't be someone to trifle with.
[This man killed a dragon by himself, and more than that, faced hundreds at a time even with his weakness. He's not a pushover when it comes to fighting.]
